What more about disaster in Smolensk?

Recently the Russians have presented the final report of the crash of Smolensk. They wrote in it that all fault is because of the mistake of Polish pilots. They also pointed out the presence of third persons in the cockpit, the expected negative reaction to President Lech Kaczynski, pilot error or the presence of alcohol in the blood of their superior, General Andrew Błasik. Do you agree with these opinions?

Why didn’t they see their own fault? Why weren’t they well prepared to receive Polish guests? Their report is very unclear. There are a lot of unexplained facts. Perhaps we will never get to know what the true reason of disaster was.

Maybe the Russian side doesn't want to admit that they made a mistake during the Polish President's landing process? Maybe they want to hide something? We know only the things which Russians allowed us to know. Many things are still hidden.

I really want to discover all reasons of this disaster because it is important to fight for the truth! We can't be deceived. We have the right to know it even if it wasn't a disaster. And I think that our government should do everything to discover the real case of this accident.

What is your opinion? Are you satisfied with the report? Do you think that it was like the Russians said?

  1. In my opinion the report tells us the truth about the crash. Some people will surely disagree with him, but I think they are doing wrong. Obvious cause of the crash was pilot error. I'm not satisfied with the report, but I can not disagree with him. The Polish government must now defend their position but I think it will not change anything.

  2. As much as I know about it, I think it didn’t cover all of the story. There were no mention about the Russians faults. The control tower looks like has unqualificated personel and they made mistakes also. Probably the airport had not proper equipment for the weather. But polish personal made the critical decision to land despite all odds.

  3. In my opinion it was the pilots fault, no doubt. The pilot shouldn't care if anyone is giving him orders to land, because he knows best and he is responsible for all passengers on the plane.

Another thing is that someone had planned to land at the airport, which does not have the proper equipment.

  4. I have very mixed feelings about it. Personally I think that it's equally Russian and Polish fault - but of course when only one side prepares investigation, its results will never be fair.

I feel bad that only thing that people around the world will remember is an information that one officer in pilots cabine had a bit of alcohol ih his blood.

  5. Sebastian it is easy to say that pilot shouldn’t listen to the other people form the plain and you are right. You have to remember that the pilot was did exactly what you are saying and has low suit because of that. So he was on a big pressure and probably to avoid more trouble did what he was told to do.

  6. I don't trust our and Russian governmant. They are defending their own interests. I'm interested in this case in first months but now there was too many times to talk about. I think we will never know the truth.

  8. I wait for the day when people finally stop talking about Smoleńsk and creating 1,000 different theories on the causes of the tragedy. Of course, Russians will never plead guilty, neither will the Polish side do it. In my opinion, both sides are equally guilty. When the French Concorde had its famous crush, it took 10 years to explain its reasons. And it was a plane with normal people, not government and people from the national army. Poles would like to know everything at once. And they love to call themselves martyrs ;)

  9. In my opinion, the Russians would not have the courage to hide certain facts in modern times because the whole world looks on their hands. Currently, Russia wants to live in harmony with other countries and the fraud on the report caused by too much criticism.

  10. I'm so tired with that subject. I hate conspiracy theories - that was an accident and Russians said the truth. I think that responsibility is on pilots side, because they decided to land. That is awful that some people try to earn anything on this tragedy...

  11. I think the report was incomplete. We did not like the behavior of Russia that the tragedy presented from one perspective. You can not talk in such cases only about guilt from one side . Russia knew that the Polish president has flown to Smolensk, and didn't adequately secured the airport. Poles knowing what weather conditions were unnecessarily undertake the flight.
